The BSc Computing Technologies provides a broad based introduction to a wide range of computing technologies. In Year 1 you will be introduced to key programming and mathematical concepts, together with an introduction to system design, data modelling and networking. In Year 2 you will study web and mobile technologies, further aspects of networking, interface design, the foundations of computer security and data analytics. In the final year, you will be introduced to and study data science, the internet of things, project management, and advanced computer security together with the opportunity to undertake a research and development project.
Graduates from this programme will be well placed to pursue careers in a number of computing related areas including software development, cyber security, web and mobile app design and data analytics. The degree also provides a platform for Masters-level study in a range of fields including software development, data science, cyber security, web and mobile development and project management.
