BA (HONS) ILLUSTRATION

Course Overview

Through established industry links, well-equipped design studios and access to facilities for animation, book production, digital publishing, photography, printmaking and video, this illustration course will allow you develop your own illustrative style and be prepared for a number of different roles in the industry. Across this degree programme, you’ll refine your craft. Not only will you harness and develop new skills, you’ll learn how to articulate your ideas in your work, in a collaborative setting and to prospective employers. With a strong focus on visual narrative and documentary, you’ll learn through studio-based projects, workshops, regular tutorials as well as group reviews.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

During this Illustration degree you’ll be involved with shows and live projects as well as external competitions, all of which will add value to your portfolio of work. Additionally, you’ll experience a programme of workshops, pop-up exhibitions, visiting speakers and external visits. The diverse and versatile skillset you’ll develop on this digital illustration course will allow you to pursue a number of different careers.

Entry Requirements

Level 3 or equivalent qualifications are desirable. European and other International qualifications are accepted. Offers are not solely based on academic results: Your skills, achievements and life experience are also taken into consideration. If you do not have any previous qualifications please contact us and we will be happy to assist you with your application.
