Course Overview

Organisations are increasingly being held accountable by society for their business decisions with an ever-growing importance on ethical behaviours and corporate social responsibility (CSR). This one-year MSc Corporate Governance and Ethics postgraduate degree is designed by real world industry experts to provide you with the professional skills and in-depth understanding of the ethical and legal issues surrounding business decision making. You will explore the functioning of corporate governance within an organisation and develop an enhanced understanding of ethical decision-making and CSR. Our MSc Corporate Governance and Ethics course looks at complex and changing relationships between corporations, stakeholders and the societies in which they operate. Graduates from this course will have the knowledge and the skills to understand the importance of ethical business behaviours as well as the current policy trends and developments in corporate compliance affecting director and managerial decisions.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

Our MSc Corporate Governance and Ethics degree is designed to ensure you gain a comprehensive understanding of the most important concepts in corporate governance in a global context as well as an enhanced understanding of ethical decision-making and CSR. Students will critically assess business activities and decision-making in the context of sustainable economic growth and its meaning to organisations, governments, and society. The course is delivered by academics with extensive practical experience to ensure that research is combined with relevant real-life application. Students will apply theoretical concepts to real-life case studies in a practice-based environment and will have the opportunity to develop links with employers and professional bodies.
